Two Months at Aavu: A Catch Up With Juuso
Juuso Suominen chats with us about his first two months at Aavu.
It has been two and a half months since our new Head of Operations, Juuso Suominen started at Aavu! Juuso has taken on major responsibilities, and over the next year, a big goal is to improve Aavu's customer experience and service, as well as to enhance the product even further.
"Customer retention and loyalty are something all companies strive for. Also, subscription business models, which roughly speaking means selling sets at a monthly price without ownership of the goods, is a growing trend. Aavu fits perfectly into that, just like Rudolph’s red nose – while also showing the way to the future.”
Juuso thrives from personal goals: from personal growth to professional development. Personal insights can also be easily utilized in the worklife. Since things at Aavu have kicked off at a rapid pace, there has been a lot to learn in a short time.
"Creating a functional software product requires an unbelievable amount of attention to details. Software is such an integral part of our daily lives that we often don't even perceive them as constructed or created in any way. For the same reason, they must function flawlessly. And that's the beauty of this sport."
The best part of working at Aavu has been the colleagues and, of course, the Aavu product itself.
"The best part has been almost hearing the noise of rational thoughts. Often these are situations requiring technical expertise, in which I realized that even if I practiced the same thing for 5 years, 8 hours a day, I probably wouldn't be able to do it as well as the other person. It brings a certain kind of intellectually secure feeling – knowing that there is always a solution to challenges."
Also, of course, being able to represent a genuinely good and functional software product that has clear demand and helps our customers diversify their business."
There's still a lot to do, see, and learn. Aavu continues its growth journey under Juuso's leadership, so stay tuned!
